BEDA #19 - Miscellaneous musical taste

Hey, guys.

I thought I'd talk about music today, and my musical tastes.

I would define my musical taste as . . . diverse. VERY diverse. I'd say I love everything except for Metal.

This might be somewhat of a . . . poor taste for some, but I've learned to accept it and not care about what other people have to say about it.

I hear everything from Britney Spears to John Mayer, from Amy Winehouse to the Jonas Brothers, from Diana Krall to Miley Cyrus, from Michael Jackson (and Jackson 5) to Taylor Swift, from Joss Stone to The Black Eyed Peas, from Beyoncé to Jack Johnson, from ABBA to The Beatles, from Shania Twain to AC/DC, from the Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack to the High School Musical Soundtrack, and the list never ends. Pop, Rock, Wrock, Pop Rock, R&B, Hip hop, Country, Soul, Jazz, Funk, you name it - I hear it all.

Lately I've been in a very Disney-ish mood. I'm always listening to Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and songs from Disney movies. I'm not a like a thirteen year old fan girl, I like them in a reasonably amount. They really make me feel good and I can dance to their songs as well.

My favorite male singer is John Mayer, and female singer is Amy Winehouse.

My favorite song is Your Body Is A Wonderland by John Mayer, but it's quite arguable.

Since I deleted my entire iTunes Library a couple months ago, I can't exactly tell you what song I heard the most, but at the moment it's Dela (I Know Why The Dog Howls At The Moon) by Johnny Clegg (from George of the Jungle) and Jai Ho by A.R. Rahman (from Slumdog Millionaire).

I currently have 3102 songs on my iTunes Library.

I've always wanted to play an instrument but honestly, I'm not gifted in any way. Here's a quote from the movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona which explains this perfectly:

I just have to come face to face with the fact that I'm not gifted. I can appreciate art and I love music, but... it's sad, really, because I feel like I have a lot to express and I'm not gifted.

I have a piano at home, followed by a ukulele, an acoustic guitar, a bass guitar and some other small instruments.

When there's nothing to talk about, this is what a blog looks like. See you tomorrow, bloggers.
