BEDA #15 - Procrastination as a lifestyle

Hello bloggers. Day 15. Lets roll.

Well... I'm a very big procrastinator. Ah, yes... Procrastination. A behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. I know all about it.

I had two weeks off school during Spring Break, and this was my original plan after I arrived from Paris:

a) BEDA;
b) Do my Paris scrapbook;
c) Edit my Paris footage;
d) Read Looking For Alaska by John Green;
e) Work a bit on my novel;
f) Study a (huge) book that I supposedly had to read during summertime;
g) Study Spanish.

Things I have actually accomplished now that I've started school:

a) BEDA is going great so far. Sometimes it's difficult to come up with stuff to write - like today - but I have a "never give up" attitude when it comes to it;
b) I've done... eleven pages. I'm still on the first day. I went there for five days. Five LONG days;
c) I've edited 1min36 of my Paris footage - EPIC FAIL;
d) I've read... one page of Looking For Alaska - EVEN BIGGER EPIC FAIL;
e) I wrote like four words and lost a page where I wrote lots of ideas;
f) I... didn't study;
g) I... didn't study.

"So," you might ask, "What did you do during Spring Break?"

Well... Sleep . . . Eat . . . Twitter . . . Dailybooth . . . YouTube . . . BEDA . . . Talk on Skype . . . Talk on Omegle (only two days, but I spent hours there) . . . And that's pretty much it.

I had problems converting the video files as I stated on a previous blog. BUT NOW I DON'T HAVE THE PATIENCE OR THE ENERGY TO FINISH EDITING THE FOOTAGE.

According to my calculations I accomplished... Nothing. Well, BEDA isn't over, but I never miss a day, so I guess I can countone accomplishment . . . ? No . . . ? Grr. Effing procrastination.

Soooo, I've made some decisions. Maybe not quite in the order they should be - like studying - but at least I'll get things done.

I promise to read 1 to 3 chapters of LFA every day until I finish it.
I promise to edit 5 to 10 minutes of my Paris footage every day.
I promise to make 5 to 10 pages of my Scrapbook every day.

I should have a punishment if I don't get these things done. Any ideas?

I just hope I don't procrastinate.

- Lo

P.S. - Off to get my nails done! (Wait a minute...)
