It was an interesting week.
I finally went to the cupcakes place and I'm no longer a cupcake virgin. But honestly, it tasted like a regular Portuguese muffin with buttery frosting to me and it was disappointing. Maybe in the US they taste differently? Anyway, I took some pictures of them and I love them so much!
I went out to a karaoke bar last night. This group of friends of a friend of mine came but I don't really get along with them, thus I was sighing and moaning the whole night. I don't know if I'm that anti-social girl who preferes being on the Internet talking to people she met on a daily picture-taking website (friends, nonetheless, amazing ones) and watching Hannah Montana: The Movie, but I do feel like one nowadays. Actually, I've always felt like one. I love being home, I prefer being home than going out or just going to a quiet dinner with my best friends. I like being comfortable and I love talking, and when people don't like to do the same I feel stuck. Maybe it's because no one breaks the ice and everyone keeps their thoughts to themselves and stick with their cliques? I don't know. I've always made friends so easily and suddenly when I can't seem to do that, I freeze. I'm just feeling a bit... alone, lately. I can't really explain it. I need a time out from everything and everyone. Almost everything, almost everyone.
It was so nice to be by myself after a night surrounded by people. Just spread out in the sun, listening to music, doing my thing. I honestly prefer it that way. So so be it, I'm the weird, anti-social, Internet nerd who can't socialize. At least that makes me happy.

ReplyDeleteSome people just drain your mood at times, don't beat yourself up about it! The cupcakes aren't as tall as ones you tend to get over here, but I think the concept is pretty much the same regardless of how you bake them. I love the pictures!
