RIP Michael Jackson

I just wanted to remember this day and last night on my blog. I received the news last night and was just devastated and very, very shocked. It was definitely unexpected. I have the feeling that it's impossible for someone who has accomplished so much in Pop Culture to just... disappear from one second to the other. I think his music and his King of Pop legend will live on just like Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra and John Lennon - all of these performers still live dearly in our hearts, and so will Michael.

The end of one more year

I just finished my two exams and my junior year and I'm off to my senior year in late September.

I have so many wishes for next year:

1. Have a kickass party when I turn 18;
2. Learn how to drive and have my drivers' license;
3. Finish school with a 16 grade (in a scale from 1 to 20) and graduate;
4. Get accepted in the Uni I want;
5. Spend a whole month next summer, preferably during the football World Cup, on a roadtrip with friends.

God, I'd love to do number 5. Eighteen, fresh out of high school and driving around the country (or more countries), stopping in a typical café to watch every football game, cheering with Portuguese scarves and flags on my hands before crying my eyes out when the goodbyes come rushing before Uni starts. Only five specific people are needed for this.

Next year the title will be "The end of one more milestone" due to graduation. I can't believe I'm less than one year away to turn eighteen, it's surreal. One year I'm running around my school in 5th grade shouting "We're BFFs!" followed a few days later with "I'm not your BFF anymore!" and the other I'm graduating high school. Sigh.

YouTube Favorites

I've come to notice how diverse my YouTube favorite videos are.

From an ant sliding around an LP record to nerdy songs from famous Nerdfighters, from videos that make me laugh so hard such as this one and this one, to simple videos of my favorite tv shows.

I favorited not one, but two videos that concern making fun of Facebook and once again not one, but two videos in which I appear (even though on one of them you can only see one my part of my body for less than two seconds).

Everything from commercial ads to the must-have video from one of my favorite subscriptions, I have it all.

AC/DC & Summer Concerts

I went to the AC/DC concert on the 3rd June in Lisbon. It was absolutely brilliant, it was definitely one of the bands that were in my see-live-before-you-die list. They're just such an awesome band, with so much energy. They have even more energy than the people going to the concerts that are always jumping up and down, it's amazing. I guess bands like AC/DC were born to be rock stars, and I thank them for it, I love their music.

This year there are so many bands and singers that are performing here in Portugal. Beyoncé performed on the 18th May, though unfortunately I didn't go. I went the first time she came here, which was two years ago. I loved it, it was a great show, very entertaining.

Also Elton John, Katy Perry, Anastacia, Seal, Joss Stone, The Black Eyed Peas, Eagles and Green Day (and others, but I'm not really interested, such as Kylie Minogue, Rammstein and... etc.) are coming. I have to choose between Joss Stone and Seal because they're on the same day, but because I think Seal never came to Portugal at all and Joss has, I want to go to the Seal concert. I definitely want to see Elton John and Green Day. And I'm going to The Eagles.

I'd love to see Katy Perry, but it's not really a priority, just like Anastacia. And on the other hand, I don't really have anyone who'd want to see them live, so no company for me, boo hoo.

Then there are some festivals with lots of bands such as The Killers, BEP as I said before, and some portuguese artists which I'd really love to see as well, and probably will.
