Britain's Got Talent & LookBook

There's only less than an hour left for the Britain's Got Talent Grand Final. I'm so excited!

I honestly hope Susan Boyle doesn't win. Yes, she does have a great voice, but there is so much talent this year that I would hate to see the others left behind when someone like Susan Boyle has already won on a previous season - Paul Potts.

Don't get me wrong, I love both their voices, but I think other acts have to have a chance in this competetion. I found a website where I can see it live, so I'm looking forward to it! Although the connection is terrible, gah.

On another note, I've started another blog to see if LookBook.nu accepts me as a member and invites me to become part of their website. Click here if you're interested in seeing it.

Season finales (Spoiler alert!)

I have always hated season finales. Not so much as the whole series finale, but I hate them anyway. Having to face months and months of no series? No, thank you!

Take LOST, for example. I have to live eight months with no LOST. No Sawyer, no Jack, no Locke, no Kate, no Hurley - nothing. And the next season is the last season, which sucks. Well, it doesn't suck that much, we finally get to see how it ends. What the hell happens with "Locke" and with the freaking island! That's not so bad. But it's still bad. I actually thought that Locke was really Locke, I was so surprised when I saw his corpse. When they showed it to Lapidus I was like, "THAT HAS TO BE LOCKE, BUT HOW?!". I'm very ... disturbed when I see LOST episodes. I become a very scary person who's always blurting and shouting "OH. MY. GOD.". I bet you feel it too.

LOST Season 6 airs: January 2010

Now, take Supernatural. What the F*#K happens after that white light ?! I was genuinely surprised when it was finally revealed that Ruby, after all, was "the most faithful demon". What a bitch! I bet Sam and Dean are just going to face the apocalypse and save that day as usual. Which isn't a disappointment, because I wouldn't want my Dean hurt, haha. I liked that Castiel action at the end, as well. Castiel, you bad ass.

I started to feel that it was getting a bit ridiculous when angels and God started to appear in the whole story, but it wouldn't make much sense if only demons existed, and they put it quite nicely. They didn't portray angels as the most wonderful and kind creatures in the world, I liked that.

Supernatural Season 5 airs: September 2009

Now, take Gossip Girl. I never thought Gossip Girl as a shocking show. The books, yes. The TV show? Nah, not really. It's just a show in which I like the characters - although they're nothing like the ones in the books - and the clothes they wear and the fact that it's in New York City. Yay, now Georgina is going to be the new enemy of Ex-Queen B - how exciting. Nate, Serena, Dan - nothing interesting there. Well, Serena is going to find her dad, that might be interesting. I do find interesting what's Jenny going to be like as the new queen, if she actually abolished the high school "monarchy"; if Chuck and Blair will actually hit it off aaand if Rufus and Lily do too. I loved the episode with the flashbacks, it was my absolute favorite of the whole season! I'm excited how it's going to be - Gossip Girl following everyone to college. I actually heard rumours that they cancelled GG - so not true. Right?

Gossip Girl Season 3 airs: August 31st 2009

And, finally, take One Tree Hill. First of all, it's so ridiculous for Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Burton to leave the series. I mean, wtf?! It's so unnecessary. He's the main character, it doesn't make any sense. But whatever - I loved the ending of this season. Finally, no ending that envolves Dan getting run over by a car or almost dying in a fire or whatever happens to him at the end of each season as the big "shocking" finale. I cried most of the time, especially with Nathan getting into the NBA, Peyton surviving and having Sawyer - which is a horrible name for a girl, btw - , Brooke finally saying she loved Julian, etc. etc.. And . . . what can happen now? Dan can finally die or get his heart and be accepted into his son's lives again. Brooke and Julian . . . I don't know. I guess we'll just have to wait and see - as usual.

One Tree Hill Season 7 airs: August 31st 2009

Two weeks from now, The Hills' finale is up - but no shocking season finale there, it's just a reality show, no stories and make believe there (cof cof). And I'm sure there are plenty of other tv series such as Desperate Housewives, House, Grey's Anatomy, etc., that I'm not referring to because I have only seen them randomly, but I will see all the seasons eventually.

Here comes the bride

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow. It's my cousin's wedding, and I'm so excited for him. He's had a bit of bad luck when it comes to girlfriends and relationships, but he's getting married tomorrow and I couldn't be happy for him and my future cousin for that matter :) He deserves it <3
Anyway, this is where I come in and tell you all about my outfit! I got a ManiPedi today, this is what it looks like:

These are my nails :)

These are my finger nails :)

And this is my dress!

I'll be wearing some other stuff with it too, of course :)

I know it's going to be pretty boring most of the time, but I'm excited. I never cry at weddings. Well, as a teenager this is the second time I'm going to a wedding, so maybe I'll cry since it's my cousin (I'll let you know if I do, hahaha). The first wedding I went to as a teenager was of a . . . third cousin? I don't even know. I didn't even know she existed until I got the news that she was going to get married.

My mom's always telling me that my aunt is always walking around, organizing wedding stuff: cleaning the house, making appointments, reserving a space, yada yada yada. I can't help but wish that my own wedding isn't going to be like this one and like all the others I go to: a ceremony at a church, relatives that you didn't even know you had, and someone always ends up drunk - no, none of that, please.

I'd love to have a very quiet ceremony on a beach, only with my closest family and friends - really close. The scenario would be something like this:

My perfect wedding scenario

What's the point in having people attend your own wedding, your own personal, private and wonderful moment if you don't - genuinely - care about them?

Do you have any wedding related experiences?

13th May - A religious phenomenon

Today is the 13th May. It's the 92nd anniversary of the day that three young shepards (really young. Children.) said they saw the Virgin Mary in Fátima, a city here in Portugal.

Every year there's a large torch-light procession in honor of the Virgin Mary, which is organised in the evening, and it's pretty impressive. The pilgrims gather in the Cova, on a huge space in which is built a little chapel where the Virgin is believed to have appeared to the children.

Fátima attracts a large number of Catholics, and every year pilgrims fill the country road that leads to the city with crowds that approach one million on May 13 and October 13, the significant dates of Fátima apparitions.

May 13th was when the children first saw the Virgin Mary. The Miracle of the Sun is an alleged miraculous event witnessed by as many as 100,000 people on the 13th October 1917 in the Cova da Iria fields near Fátima, Portugal. Those in attendance had assembled to observe what the Portuguese newspapers had been ridiculing for months as the absurd claim of the three shepherd children that a miracle was going to occur at high-noon in that same place, at that same time.

According to many witness statements, after a downfall of rain, the dark clouds broke and the sun appeared as an opaque, spinning disk in the sky. It was said to be significantly less bright than normal, and cast multicolored lights across the landscape, the shadows on the landscape, the people, and the surrounding clouds. The sun was then reported to have careened towards the earth in a zigzag pattern, frightening some of those present who thought it meant the end of the world. Some witnesses reported that their previously wet clothes became "suddenly and completely dry."

When my mom was ten years old (who, incidentally, is called Fátima), she went to Fátima and spoke to people who said they saw this same Miracle.

I don't know what to make of this everytime this day or October 13th arrives. When it comes to religion, I prefer not to express my opinion, because I'm not certain of anything, just like everyone else in the world.

There are lots of movies about this true story, I recommend this movie if you're interested (it's in Portuguese, but I'm sure there are one or two in English).

I just wanted to share this little fact about today.

Nostalgic Rainy Day

I'm at my computer class right now. I always finish way earlier than everyone else, and now a girl who I usually talk to when we finish at the same time didn't come today *sad face*

So I decided to write on my blog.

I'm looking out the window, watching rain fall down after a few days of really warm weather. I can see pine trees behind the rain and smell the fresh rainy air coming through the window. I missed sunny weather, but I'll never stop loving rain. I just don't like wind, argh.

This weather reminds me of Paris. Going about the streets of this amazing city, observing paintings at the Louvre museum, walking - with lots of wind and pouring rain - from the Louvre to the L'Arc de Triomphe, watching Louis Vuitton, Virgin and cute croissants stores on each side of the avenue. Almost crying because I saw beautiful Dior, Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Burberry boutiques. I miss Paris. I crave Paris. I want to put on a pair of really bright colored tights, a cute dress with a big belt and a parisian beret, go out with my best friend, go to a croissant store with a view of the Eiffel Tower and then go home and write my novel. This is what I'm asking for right now:

It just stopped raining.

Oh, no. Nop. It started again. This is what rain reminds me of.

*sighs*

First days of May

Wow, these first two days of May have been . . . different.

First of all, no BEDA. The only day that I didn't write anything was yesterday. It's not because I didn't have anything to write, I just didn't feel like it, I needed a break from it all, but here I am again :)

Second of all, the weather! You have no idea what it was like going from April to May in terms of weather. Today is 30º C (86º F) and it's effing hottttt! I missed this kind of weather :) The sun, and listening to songs that remind me of the summer and make me feel so good.

I'm going to start posting my "Music of the Day" at the end of each post everytime I post a blog.

I'm having a dinner party tonight, and I'm finally meeting the first Nerdfighter EVEEERRR! We live close to each other, but I can't see her during the week, which sucks. But tonight it'll all change and I'm going to have such an awesome night, I'm so excited!

Now, for some serious stuff: the video I posted on my last blog. This is how it all ended:

The driver was a 38-year-old Dutchman whose identity has been released by the police. According to local media reports, he was a former security guard who had lost his job several months ago. His neighbours describe him as quiet and withdrawn. According to his landlord, he had ended the lease of his apartment because he could no longer afford the rent. The man had been due to vacate the apartment by May 1.

According to police, the attack was deliberate. Allegedly, the man had told rescue workers immediately after the incident that his target was the royal family.

Now . . . I feel mad. One thing is a man who is absolutely desperate because he has no job and no where to live and gets drunk with frustration, and then Oops! I just almost crashed into the Royal Family!
Another thing is to just deliberately want to crash into the Royal Family! Come on! You effing killed people who had nothing to do with it. It just makes me crazy. Ruin your life if you want, don't ruin people's who don't even know you and have nothing to do with your problems.

My condolences to each family who lost a family member.

Anyway, how are you guys dealing with the post-BEDA Experience?
